Wow, we’ve been planning for this day for so long…and it’s almost here! In less than 24 hours, the PBParty contest submission window opens. You’ve all been working so hard. The judges and I can’t wait to read your entries and share a variety of amazing ones with all these incredible agents and editors.
The Google forms will ONLY be open during the submission window on March 1 from midnight to 8 pm EST. If you want to see a screenshot of the forms, check out this post (it helps to save the form as a photo and enlarge it).

Here are some final tips:
- If you have italics in your sample, you may put an asterisk before and after them, so I’ll know how to format it if you’re in the finals. Example: *Are the judges going to pick me?* (Please only do this in your sample, not in your query.)
- Have your responses ready ahead of time and triple check them. Once you enter, you can’t editor or resend an entry. Please make sure it’s your best work!
- Author/Illustrators…here’s a Google TEST form where you can upload your illustrations so you’ll know they’ll work when you enter. When you share a link to your dummy on the entry form, you can add the password next to it. You may also share it without a password if it’s only available through the link and not the general public (through something like DropBox).
- Get ready for fun daily Twitter chats on the #PBParty hashtag. Most will post at 9 am EST, but the first one will go up right when the contest window opens. Feel free to answer them at any time! It’s also a great chance to like/reply to comments from others, and make some amazing new PB friends.
- Keep an eye out for tips and teasers from the judges on Twitter! We’ll share some in the PBParty Participant Facebook group, too.
Here’s a World Clock in case you live in a different time zone and want to make sure you don’t miss the PBParty contest windows. 🙂
World ClockI know how hard waiting can be. I LOVE making one or more goals for myself so I’ll be productive and time will pass by faster. How are you going to celebrate entering…and what will you challenge yourself to do while waiting for the titles of the finalists to be posted on March 17?
I’m sending tons of good luck vibes and fairy dust your way!
