Dear Dream Weavers,
Thank you for this opportunity to share an excerpt from my picture book, NORBERT’S BUBBLE TROUBLE.
Fancy shoes and kazoo in hand, a tap-dancing spider is ready for the upcoming talent show. But when a last-minute treat turns into trouble, he’ll need to use some ingenuity if he’s going to reach the stage in time for his act!
NORBERT’S BUBBLE TROUBLE is a whimsical tale, told in just over 550 words, and is aimed at children ages 3-8. It would nestle nicely being stuck on a shelf between Bubble Gum, Bubble Gum by Lisa Wheeler (Purple House Press, 2019) and On Account of the Gum by Adam Rex (Chronicle Books, 2020).
I am a local liaison for SCBWI, an active member of Julie Hedlund’s 12×12 Picture Book Challenge and several critique groups. I have completed numerous writing classes / workshops including Renee LaTulippe’s Lyrical Language Course. My poetry has been featured in The Dirigible Balloon and has won honorable mentions in several contests.
I have other completed picture book manuscripts available upon request.
Thank you so much for your consideration, I look forward to hearing from you.
